It's been a long time since I've made a short wig. I've actually had all of the materials needed and I've been eyeing them for at least a month. I get nervous for some reason before I make a custom wig, I don't know why! But the end result is never shy of pure love for me! I've forgotten how much fun it is to have short hair. I used to wear my (real) hair short for years when I was in my early 20's and loved it!
Happy first day of Spring everyone. For us Northern Mid-Westerners and East Coasters, it's still cold, some experiencing snow still! We all are used to it by now but nonetheless, it's Spring!! I couldn't get my time or mind right this week! My husband took a week long vacation from work and I haven't been able to successfully get any blogging or filming done at all. Silly man. However, I was able to get out this morning and shoot today's workout fit!
A lot has changed over the years as it relates to jeans! All different cuts and styles. The latest trend are ripped jeans. I've purchased jeans and distressed them myself, but this is my first pair that came this way! I must say that I am in love with them. These particular ones have just the right amount of stretch in them as well, which I'm sure every woman can appreciate!
The weather has been warming up here and I couldn't be happier! You wouldn't be able to tell from the background though, lol. Any opportunity to go outside is a pleasure, especially to take photos! How gorgeous is this jacket and top? I found a new boutique to shop from called 500 Boutique! They have some of the hottest and latest trend pieces for every woman!
This has got to be my favorite dress ever! It's sooo very comfortable while remaining stylish! I don't know if you guys notice, but I tend to flock toward anything grey. I just come to the realization that it's my favorite color at the moment! I wish it were warm enough to wear this out right now because I surely would rock this every way imaginable!
As I said before, grey is one of my favorite colors to wear. I didn't get a chance to jump on the oxblood train when it was out, but this color combo will always be in style in my book! I kept it quite simple with this look because the dress, shoes and bag are the staple pieces. I didn't want to overdo it with too many accessories.
I completely repped my hometown of Detroit with this outfit! Most of these pieces are from women in my community that are doing great things in the fashion world! I am proud to say that I am from the same stomping grounds as them! I introduced this sweater to you in my "new things" post as one of my fave sweaters right now! I seen this on Ashlee, co-owner of House of Rehab and I had to get it! It was calling me! I don't know how I missed this because I follow their blog + Instagram.
Aww, this horrid pooch of mine! :( Anywho! This pink set from Lovely Wholesale is the BIZ! It's supposed to be Kim K. inspired but the top fits a little too well for that BUT I still love it nonetheless! I decided to pair this set with the GORGEOUS over-sized, fold over clutch from Bagjunki! I've been trying my best to style this without wearing it with the obvious blues and neutrals. Pink was the way to go! Neutral shoes and dainty accessories and I'm good to go!
When I saw this top, I knew I had to get it! It's actually a bathing suit that I will be wearing as a top. Why, you ask? Well, the material that the suit is made up of is way too thin to be considered a bathing suit. I can see it now. We go up North to the beach or to a pool party and I jump in. All of my unmentionables are opaquely visible for everyone to see. On top of that, my *cough, cough* rear end keeps swallowing up the suit, turning it into a thong-kini instead. So just to save myself the embarrasment, we shall keep it as a top, lol
Empire is one of the hottest TV shows out right now for it's story line, uniqueness and most definitely characters. We all love the main female character Cookie Lyon for her realness and extreme sassy nature. Last weekend I wore this bodycon dress from Lovely Wholesale to Lipstick on the Ave and I paired it with nude accessories. I posted a photo on my Instagram + Facebook and got a few "this is so Cookie Lyon" comments. I personally thought it was hilarious only because I am the complete opposite of her but I can see her totally wearing something like this!
Happy March Loves! ♥ We all know that I've been talking about stepping out of my comfort zone in fashion, so here is my first venture! I'm not completely square with my body either but what the hell!! I'll eventually get there! I haven't worn a true 2 piece since I was 18 years old and it was a bikini. Main reason I love this outfit, other than it being my fav color, is because its so comfortable. It's not so restricting and stretches to fit the curves of your body! Best part about this is that it's from Lovely Wholesale, which has some of the best prices out here.
2 pc. set// lovely wholesale
shoes// (hadley, without the strap) justfab
bag// (old) shoedazzle
necklace// (gift) juicy couture
It was soooo frigid out when I took these, but I really wanted them in natural light, so I braved the elements and they turned out great!
Hope you guys enjoyed your weekend!
