November was my comeback month!  This was extremely fun coming back after a few months hiatus AND hitting it like I never left.  This was a month of out of the box choices and combining different weather scenarios as we are almost at Winter here in MI.  I thank you all for joining me on my return journey and here's to many more!  Let's take a look back at some faves from the month of November, with a hint of October!

By now, all of the deliciousness of Thanksgiving has settled (even though I'm going to keep going back for more), the dishes are all washed and my apartment is cleaned from the festivities, it's time to start thinking of this year's Christmas season! Of course, it's all about givin…

I'm pretty excited about this post today because I just received my first Rocksbox!!  What is Rocksbox you ask?  Well founder, Meaghan, grew tired of purchasing jewelry and only wearing it once or twice.  She wanted that luxury without the hassle, expense and clutter, thus Rocksbox is born!  It's a service that gives youaccess to wear unlimited designer jewelry, with the option to buy the pieces you love!  Not happy with one them, send it back!

Okay, so this makes WAY better sense than the 70+ degree weather we were having just a couple short weeks ago.  The skies opened up late Friday night/early Saturday morning and did not let up the entire day!  Some areas got around 6" of snow, while us lower Easterners in MI only got a few.  As pretty as it is and no matter how much Mr. Weatherman warned us, I totally wasn't ready for the first of what I'm sure will be many rounds of the cold, white stuff!

Welcome to the weekend everyone! We made it! I started out the week completely exhausted, but knowing that is Friday gave me a pep in my step to create this black on black fit! You can never go wrong in all black, it's the hairstylist and makeup artist uniform! You think sexy and sultry donning the darkest neutral shade and it's the perfect transition color!

Happy mid week everyone!!  No fashion post today, but I do want to share with you my latest "baby" added to the collection.  If you guys have been with me for a while, then you know that my first love is my hair.  It's been my thing since about age 15, my love for creating different styles and pushing limits.  This unit has got to be one of the most diverse styles I've tried in a long time. The fact that I can straighten it or keep it in it's kinky state is a hair connoisseur's dream!

MONDAYS!!!  Aghhhh!  I am normally totally fine with Monday, but today, I am SOOOOO tired, it's crazy!  The last week or so has been a complete whirlwind in my household and I believe that it's starting to catch up with me.  That's the reason this post is up so late, just tired!

See, I told you I would have something feisty for you guys in time for the weekend!  The last time I wore this camel colored combo, I was compared to Cookie Lyon from Empire, which I still find funny to this day. :)  The beautiful jeweled hue of this mock neck dress demanded I revisit the neutral shades in these pieces!  Burgundy is one of my favorite colors because I think it works really well with my skin tone, so that's why this beauty is in my closet!

It's funny that I'm posting this because in FALL TEMPS, I made mention that "if I'd styled [the last outfit] a different way, it would be basic!" and then there's this outfit!  Ever so often, we have our down days. But who's to say that you have to look like you don't wanna go out in the world?  When I shot these, it seems like everything was thrown at my way, preventing me from getting into the appropriate "mood" to shoot, so YES, basic it is!

Welcome MI Fall temperatures!  Last week, we had record breaking weather with temps in the 70's for most of the week!  Guess what, Mother Nature decided it was time to go back to normal, so cheers to breaking out the comfy knits for keeping warm and cozy!

My daughter has become the "REAL" MVP in my book by finishing a 4 month stint with box braids, something that I could NEVER do.  Of course, they were refreshed around the 2 month mark, but they were in her head for 4 straight months.  Me, as a mother and someone who switches hairstyles like, well, you know, was itching at taking them out.  She, on the other hand, wouldn't let me until I convinced her that her hair would fall out if she didn't let me (bad mom, I know).  So over the weekend, we took them out and refreshed her hair with what I would say are some of the best products that I've used on her hair.  Come on in and take a look at these Just For Me products that resurrected her dry, dirty hair into something that we both could smile at!

I'm a firm believer of if I buy something, it's getting worn more than once.  I've been approached on many occasion like "I've seen you wear that before!" and my response is always "yeah, because I bought it!".  Where did the rule "if it's been worn or blogged that it can never see daylight again" come from?  That's not only silly, but also not economical.  I would live in the mall, always be broke and my husband would probably kill me!

This dress makes every fiber of my being tingle!  See, I don't think you understand, I want you guys to FEEL my excitement about this dress right here.  Let's go down the checklist.  Button down: check!  Whirly skirt: check!  Hi-lo hem: check!  Buffalo Plaid: check!  I could really go on and on about how much this dress makes me happy!

Happy Monday everyone!  Lately, I've been trying to step out of my comfort zone with my style. You know how you browse and you see items that you only dream of wearing but you know in the back of your mind that you would never look good in it?  Well, that was me with this denim shirt dress.  I've seen this on so many people and they look amazing in it but I just knew I would look like Nintendo Wii character!  I gave it a try anyway, and I am glad I did!
